Approachingby GrziComment: The stop motion in this image captures the interesting texture of the water, and the blur caused by shallow DoF really enhances it. |

Loading Up on Summer "Sun" Dropsby wetlandComment: Great focus and composition, and beautiful subjects. The colors of the butterflies contrast nicely with the color of the flower. I like your title. |

Fragrant Harvestby amsmythComment: A lot of tonal range in the garlic here, and I like how you use the basket as a natural backdrop; you've left just enough of it in the photo that the viewer can tell what it is without making it compete with the garlic for interest. Great title. |

Two Boatsby mariomelComment: Nice symmetry here. The lines in the boats and the dock all lead the eye to the trees, whose beauty is enhanced by their gentle reflections in the water. The boats are not the center of interest here, but are certainly an essential part of the composition; calling attention to them with the title is a nice touch. |

Immortal Winterby pedroviegasComment: You made this photo at just the right time when the shadows are the perfect length. Much shorter and they wouldn't be as dramatic; much longer and too many of them would obscure the slopes of other mountains. |

Boys of Summerby elemessComment: Good choice to leave the player out of focus, keeping the center of interest on the boy. I can certainly imagine what he must be dreaming! |

Boys of Summerby crabappl3Comment: Great control over both shutter speed and DOF here. I like the designs made by the light reflection in the moving bat. |

The Promiseby Cottagegirl1Comment: Nice capture of a double rainbow. I've seen these before, but never had a camera handy to try to photograph one. I like your composition here. The focal point is at the center about a third up from the bottom; the brightest spot where the arc of the main rainbow leads my eye. The second rainbow to the right is positioned perfectly to balance the lightness to the left. The fence keeps the foreground from being completely boring, but doesn't become a focal point itself. Well done. |

to be a child againby chemogirlComment: I love merry-go-rounds and hope I'll always be able to ride them. I can feel the yearning of this couple. I wish you had made the image a bit larger, and it seems a bit out of focus. But I like the composition here with the couple, facing away, at the side with most of the merry-go-round in the photo. |
