Jonathan Livingston Seagullby BobsterLobsterComment: This is a striking and beautiful image. The birds aren't really the subject of the photo, but they do certainly add an element of interest, as do the almost invisibly small people on the beach. |

Second Lifeby Mike2000Comment: The subjects are interesting, but the composition doesn't work very well for me. There is no apparent reason to leave so much space on the left and crop the right side so tightly. |

Best Friendsby rll07Comment: There is a hint of motion in the back girl's hair; a bit of motion blur would have been nice, but would probably have obscured their faces, so I guess a hint will have to do. Nice use of color. |

Proof of our livesby jmritzComment: There is no "center of interest" here, but I'm not sure it needs one. There are enough interesting things to keep a viewer's interest for quite awhile. |

Life ... like rose and thornby bormicComment: Great symbolism here. The rose fills most of the frame with the thorns playing a minor part off to the side. Life is the same, even though we seem to remember the pricks more vividly than the sweet scent. I love the effect of the fine droplets in this image. |

Life Is Just A Dreamby bobgaitherComment: Most photos I've seen of this pool have the water perfectly still. I like the ripples here, like someone is actually using it! |

Nourishmentby BitzComment: I love the variety of colors here, and the black and white colander is a nice touch. Great still life. |

Can I Play Too?by vonautschComment: A well composed, emotional image. Having only the one boy in focus and choosing monochrome adds to the effect. The lighting is perfect, casting a shadow just the right angle and length. |
