Literallyby odriewComment: I really like the idea, but your color seems a little off, the highlight at the top is distracting, and I'd really like a little more depth of field to cover the spot where the pin is.
I do like the angle of the globe, and I like the shadow of the holder, just wish you could have softened the light so it didn't have the blown area. |

Bokeh (mild), Rule of Thirds, Stop Actionby jimsappComment: There's a couple of things that don't work quite right in this photo. This really is almost exactly between rule of thirds and centered. If you would have cropped from the right a little, it would have worked for centered, if you would have cropped in from the left, it would have worked better for rule of thirds.
This is a wonderful photo--I like the weeds in the front and the shallow depth of field. But the pine tree is very distracting and it seems a tad dark. I hope you don't mind, but I liked the photo so much, I brought it into photoshop so I could suggest a crop and lighten it a tad. This is what I would suggest: . I just cropped it and adjusted slide in levels. (I actually would have the bird more off center, but with cropping out the tree, you can't really get the rule of thirds).
Feel free to completely ignore this if you disagree. It was just a suggestion because the shot really called to me. Good luck with the challenge! :D |

Blur, Long Exposure, Deep DOFby ace flymanComment: I think it's interesting the people who are doing deep dof and blur. The only way I can tell is if the blur is the same from front to back. It looks that way, so I'll believe it! Nice colors. Fun choice. |
