I usually don't care about borders either way (neither anti or pro borders), but I do think the border detracts from this image. It's a very interesting image with nice, subtle colors with the splash of red, but the white border washes it out too much, imo. It doesn't change my score -- it's about the photograph, not the border, and the photograph is quite nice. 7

very interesting! wonderful lines. I'm curious what it would look like with the snow a little lighter. (doesn't affect the score, just idle curiosity) 8

I like the shot, but I'm not sure that the fence adds that much to it (and I love fences!) The sunset and the palm trees and reflection are so wonderful, I would have liked it zoomed it quite a bit more. (not voting yet)

Sweet photo. Great intensity. Very small thing -- I would have liked it shifted over to the right just a tad. The back isn't as interesting, it would have given the dog more space to look out. It's not quite centered, it's not rule of thirds, at it doesn't have to be, but it feels just a little lopsided. (I hope that makes sense. It doesn't make any difference in my vote -- it was a small thing that would make the composition feel a little better, imho...) -7-

Wow! Really cool photo! Clever idea. I do think that the white line going across is quite distracting, though. It would have been much stronger if you could have cloned it out or darkened it somehow so that it wasn't so obvious. -7- (8 or possibly 9 without the line)

Lovely shot and nicely done. I'm curious what it would have looked like if you cropped out the left side. The boat on the right is so superior to the boat on the left, and the bridge and the building are so much more interesting than the tree, that I wonder if cropped out the left, leaving the right boat at the left 1/3 line might strength it even more. -7-
