Waiting for the sunrise... by bryanbrazilComment: Hate to give you the "blue ribbon comment curse" -- but I really do expect this one to get blue. (not voting)
Ok, so some of us are going to guess 1st through 5th place. This is my guess for 1st! |

Behold the Antenna!by MelethiaComment: I just blame free studies on this one. I always think that free studies score about .5 lower than regular challenges. So there, this was a 6.2! |

Emergingby MelethiaComment: Again, almost DPC friendly, but still more artistic. DPC friendly is straight forward, don't cut off parts. This was a more artistic composition and a wonderful shot. I gave it a 7, worth an 8 on second look. |

Just a momentby MelethiaComment: The problem is, even when you're going for DPC friendly, you're still incredibly artistic. I would have zoomed in much closer, gotten the people just on the right, and spot metered it so they weren't so backlit.
But I like yours better! I love the silhouette, I love the "feel" of the moment. The reason it didn't score well, imo, is because people were looking for a more difficult capture. It's not hard to stop the motion of a person bending over. The only stop motion that probably counted was the dog on the right, and 1 out of 4 probably wasn't good enough for most people. The shot is incredible. |

Dark Princess Clarinetby DeenComment: I'm not sure that cutting off the top was a good choice. It almost looks like an accident instead of a conscious choice... |

Into the black...by VidomaticComment: Strangely enough, I would have liked this better centered (and I'm usually a big fan of negative space. Perhaps because it's such an interesting face and it has intensity; it feels like the intensity is lost over on the side. |

Minimalism in Blackby Judi4MeComment: I do like this one. I'm wondering if you're getting hit by people saying that the background is grey, not black. |
