Closer than most. There's a story here in which to delve and discover. But it doesn't last very long. Almost there.

There's something to this one, yet it doesn't seem enough to me. Perhaps it would be more impressive in a larger format.

Not crazy about the bottle. Yet without the bottle, I think I would have liked it a lot. Seems too contrived this way.

I like the idea, and it's really close, but doesn't quite make it. There's no curiosity or emotions that I'm finding. A tad because of the rain -- adds a bit of melancholy. But I just think there could be more to it to hit the "art" stage. Something that draws you in over and over again.

It's a cool image that works well for a documentary type photo, but I'm not sure it works as art for me. Art, imo, should make you feel something -- curiosity, excitement, intrigue, anger, etc. Something that draws you in and keeps you coming back over and over again. While this is beautiful, and the colors are lovely, once I've seen it, it doesn't draw me back to explore more.

Normally I find nature shots to be more documentary that art, however, there's such a great expression and feeling of resignation on the face -- it says a lot more to me than a normal animal shot.

That being said, The background is oversharp -- it works on the beastie, but you're getting weird halos around the rocks.

I like the idea, but it seems too sharp. I think it would have look better softer... (plus, the original colors were gorgeous. I don't know about the b&w. Somehow this scene looks very familiar... :)

I've been quoting the same types of things in my comments: Art should make you feel something. It should go beyond just documenting the world. This one works for me. Mostly because it just makes me curious. I'm wondering about the story. It could simply just be models modeling dresses, but I'm seeing a much better storyline and I keep looking farther and farther into this trying to find more clues. Well done.

I'm guessing that some of the art fiends will see this as nature documentary vs art. Being a nature fan, I have a tendency to find most nature shots more documentary than art, because there are just so many that there's a been there done that feel.

This, however, really works for me. The lighting is spectacular. The crop is awesome. And it just makes you feel like you're flying, as well. Art should evoke something in you. It should make you curious, intrigued, sad, angry, it needs to transcend just simply documenting the world. I'm not sure why this fits in that category for me. But it does. Well done.

Ok -- this is pretty cool. I'm curious what it would look like with more muted colors. I'm guessing it's better this way. It just makes me curious playing with it with different tones and maybe even b&w. This works for me.
