A good idea, but I don't know that the bottom of the photo is strong enough to place things on the top third. It points out the shallow depth of field and the fuzziness of the stem. If that were more interesting, it might be able to carry it off. As is, I think it leaves 2/3s of the photo at a lower quality than the flowers and it doesn't work for me. sorry.

I understand that they're on the right 1/3 line, but I think this is a case where I'd actually like them even closer to the lower 1/3 as well. I'm not sure centering vertically is the best choice here. A little more head room might be nice since that background is more interesting than the foreground.

A Child's Curiosity

I like this a lot. But the high contrast is really bothering me. It makes the face look a little strange and the arm just glow. It's so interesting to look at, the contrast seems to take away from the scene. It's a 9 for the find and a 5 for the processing. I even like all the different textures/designs on the left. I'd love to see this processed in different ways to see if improved it. -7-
