psychodelicby JutildaComment: Pretty colors and curves.
Thank you for striking a blow for art derived from photos ... I don't use filters much, but I love to play around with color shifts to create abstracts from otherwise mundane pictures.
Often when I do something like this, I'll also post a link to the original source image, just so people have a reference point, and perhaps wonder how I got from that to this ... ;-) |

Spring in the Gardenby pixelpigComment: I really like the way you've arranged these -- each picture is nice, but I think they're made more special by the presentation. |

Cymbidiumby GermaineComment: I like backlighting flowers with large petals -- works well here, as does the black & white treatment; I might have to try that on some of mine ... |

DSC_2753-Crepe-Myrtleby grahamgatorComment: These have a nice crinkly texture and central detail. I wish the background foliage was a bit lighter to set them off more. |

I Said, Stick 'em Up!by GeneralEComment: Originally posted by EL-ROI: Good concept and composition. I think you kind of missed on the lighting. There should be a high contrast between blacks and whites with plenty of shadows. I think you got the blacks and the darkness, but you are missing the light and the shadows. |
Thanks -- based on this and some similar comments I re-edited it to try and improve it a bit:

Halo3 Moonby SDWComment: Very similar to one of mine, though inspired by a completely different source (and taken earlier). Very nice definition and contrast in the clouds! |

May - Melting & Falling Waterby miaryComment: Very pretty, though I think I would have cloned-out the few overhanging leaves near the top of the waterfall; those lower down don't bother me the same way. |

Pro-tour JANUARYby rhoadesurfComment: Black and white is good -- I like to give pictures like this a slight bluish cast/tint (especially in the white areas) to make it look colder. |
