When You're The Oneby DistantColoursComment: I "oneder" how long that took to set up ... and if there are versions with all the pips parallel -- already rather similar to "op-art". |

On The Outsideby GolferDDSComment: Nice composition, exposure and detail -- might have been even more effective if the white one was inside feeding frenzy. |

Order Up! by NikonJebComment: Definitely a "why didn't I think of that" photo for me -- AND you get to eat the props. :-)
Congrats on the ribbon! |

Lunchby GinaRothfelsComment: Love the framing; I almost didn't notice it the fish-eye effect as it "suits" the composition well.
I think you could have legally given the sky a tint -- I usually use one or more Curves adjustment layers for that sort of thing. |

110 Hz by Nowhere_ManComment: You've done a much better job than I've been able to get when trying to capture guitar string vibration -- thanks for posting your settings and set-up. :-)
Congratulations on the ribbon!
Originally posted by Nowhere_Man: I kinda wish the sharp, frozen part of the string would have been in the middle of the vibrating part of the string. |
Try plucking while dampening the string at one of the main harmonic-points as if tuning the guitar -- 1/4 of the length from the bridge (or nut). The note there should be two-octaves higher ... probably not as nice a composition though as you probably can't also center the sound hole. Message edited by author 2024-01-09 13:16:03. |
