Freedom is never freeby NusbaumComment: Good job integrating the reflected flags into the composition -- too bad they weren't a couple of feet farther apart so they'd clear the left column of names. |

Birds Eye View of Manhattanby MarkS224Comment: I'd have called it "Wait! Don't Jump"
I like how the bird's outline shows so well against the buildings. I'd consider taking a little off the left, to just take off the second corner of the ledge. I think the corner and the "leaning" light-colored buildings behind it pull attention away from the subject. |

Walkway.jpgby MusicmanComment: I did a quick conversion to a black and cyan duotone, which you can see here. Not intended as a "final" version, but to get the idea of how it would look .... |

Walkway.jpgby MusicmanComment: Like the exposure and detail (esp. reflection) a lot, but the color seems a little odd to me (see thread on color-blindness). If I'd been lucky or good enough to have taken this, I'd probably experiment with color-shifting, duotone, or B+W. |

Time in Memorialby ImagineerComment: Interesting that this and K-Rob's shot The Pier are displayed next to each other, because I couldn't help but look at your flat background and think about dropping a faded New York skyline into that space, and there was the source image right next to it.
It's a great idea, good compositionand exposure, cool clock. The numbers are "stacked" LEDs? I have a very primitive calculator made with numbers like that. Message edited by author 2003-09-11 18:29:59. |

Are we there yet?by myqylComment: As I mentioned in the thread about this shot, maybe you'd have been better off leaving out the title, forcing people to figure out "how does this represent repetition?" I think most people (not just parents) would get it then -- it IS a very cliché phrase.
Or if you're going all-out for humor and not worrying about the score (as you said in your comments), have her hold up a little sign with the caption on it ... then no one could say the photo didn't "speak for itself." |

Neoclassicalby magnetic9999Comment: Flower, pet, kid, macro, Jefferson Memorial ... work 'em into any challenge!
It's one of my favorite buildings there too -- someday I hope to see it in person. Nice job, as usual. |

Now Dots Tileby GeneralEComment: Thanks, everyone! With 10 out of 14 commenters requesting it, I had no choice but to upload a re-cropped version for your evaluation. Should I make a printable file of this? |
