Especially in the thumbnail view (which got my attention) this looks just like a soft-boiled egg in one of those fancy egg-cups ... if it was mine I probably would have (over-)processed it to accentuate that aspect. I have no idea if this would have scored higher than your entry but it would have gotten a high vote from me.

Casting those fine serifs into the glass is impractical, and I don't think the font used (Lithos?) has the missing acute accents over the "e"s (another inconsistency) ... now if the lettering on the bottle was etched or engraved ... :-)

This is a great example of the genre ... I especially like the "flash" going off -- it reminds me of one of my old shots where I took a picture capturing another photographer's flash. :-)

When I was a kid I was in Yosemite when they had an actual "Firefall from Glacier Point, but I didn't know about this phenomenon -- great shot.
