Yes, stuffed, low-light/no flash. I agree I over-brightened it a bit, but the gradient is natural except for being changed to a sky-ish color instead of the dark wall there originally. I'll post a reduced original for comparison.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I was potentially going to use these shots for stock purposes, so having their faces in shadow was part of protecting their anonymity--also important if they're truly "moonlighting" or working a second job, where they may not want their identity and location revealed to the world.

Interesting perception about the structural resemblance to a gallows--you are absolutely correct. I may take some more shots without the guys there for just that look now.
