Meadows Pondby moosetraxComment: With the rest of the colors so vivid, the ultra-pale sky kind-of makes the photo seem somewhat unbalanced. There are many ways to deal with that, both pre- and post-exposure -- details on request.
But I'd be more than happy to sit for a while on that bench over there -- it looks like a very nice place : ) |

After the Rainby LoreneComment: The lighting on the trees and clouds give this a very painterly look which works well for this image -- I bet it would look great printed on canvas. Such an advantage to have some clear air to shoot through : ) |

To me the point of the challenge was to take a photo in the spirit of "Where's Waldo" -- where the subject is clearly visible, but hidden/camoflaged by the visual cacophony of tiny details. Message edited by author 2006-09-03 17:50:11. |

Charlie Chaplin "The Golden Rush"by LevTComment: Very nice representation from one of my favorite movies, though the title is just The Gold Rush. If I could have photographed it this well, my favorite bit was when they ate the shoe -- Charlie wrapping the shoelaces around his fork like spaghetti ... that shoe was actually fabricated out of licorice.
My mom knew Charlie Chaplin : ) |
