Containedby graphicfunkComment: The bright spots at the top pull my eye up and away from the boat -- I think I'd have cropped a bit lower or darkened them up a bit; though I like that the left one almost mirrors the shape of the sail. A nice assortment of background textures making up the negative space. |

You're Out!by thegrandwazooComment: A nice variation on the at-bat action shot -- I just had an entry where I went with the more common ball just-off-the-bat type shot.
It's interesting that you (apparently) don't care that the catcher is cut-off. I don't do sports as a rule ... is it usually considered OK to crop the catcher or ump as long as you have a good shot of batter/bat/ball? (I hope so -- it makes a lot more of my shots "acceptable"!) |
