I tried this once -- nothing nearly this good. Curious to see what settings you used.

I think I came to regret not naming mine "Harmonic Node" or something, to help draw attention to that special feature.

Now if you'd have centered it -- OK with a square crop in my book -- and added a little judicious cloning, you'd pretty much have a model of an organic blue ribbon, especially in thumbnail view.

I once tried a similar technique, but with considerable less effect. Clever idea and execution, and a bonus for including the physical sciences along with life sciences. : )
