Compositionally, I think it would have been a stronger image if you got more of the waves/water to the left since thats the direction the surfer is headed. He seems just a bit out of focus. Otherwise, you caught him at the peek of the wave, nice angle of the board, nice extension of the arms. Almost a nice action shot.

An interesting shot. An old stone archway (a castle?), can't tell if the guy is standing in a doorway, or on top of a window sill (the dark foreground gives no clues), I think I see a couple trees beyond the opening (so is he high off the ground?), so is this guy trying to "escape," thinking about suicide? Okay, you made me look at this image far too long wondering about the story behind it; for that I'll give this a 7.
