Day No. 8by GermaineComment: I was perusing your portfolio, you've got really neat stuff. I like your 50 Days folder. This one stood out for me because of the colors and boats. I like how the boats are lined up in your composition, and the colors draw me in. Cool portfolio. |

Howdy!by Yo_SpiffComment: Looking at the pic, it has a 50's western TV show feel. I think it's because of the B&W treatment. Nice pic. |

temporal imprintsby krnodilComment: I didn't read all of the comments and I'm sure someone has commented that this is ghostly. It is a cool and interesting image. I'm glad you have it on your profile page. |

Navy Pier at Sunriseby GermaineComment: I like the focus point where you can see the two guys going about their business. The LB blur is great but I like the highlights from the spotlights on the boats. Is this a pier for commercial fishing boats? |

abandoned slaughterhouse #4by halopesComment: I like how the entire composition works here with the chair as the centerpiece facing the darkness. Then you have the stairs leading down to the chair and who knows what in the doorway going back. Let's the viewer's imagination run wild. What an interesting image. |

Field 022by MelethiaComment: I put this side by side with your Image Grain entry. It's almost the same but I tend to favor the challenge entry just a bit more. I think it's because the tractor lines (the lines in the field created by the tractor wheels if that makes sense) are more prominent in the entry shot. For me, it added depth to the image. Love the B&W. |

isolationby LutchenkoComment: The subject has a serious look to him in this photo. I think this with "Cracking a Smile" would make a terrific Diptych. |

Temple Barby bmartuchComment: This looks familiar. I thought I saw this in Popular Photography that featured this bar in Ireland. Maybe I'm wrong. Anyways, I like the corner perspective that show the people going about their business. Looks like a night shot, if so, it's incredibly clean. I like the red color of the bar. I like the "busy-ness" of the image; personally, it draws me into the picture like perhaps I'm part of it. The signs, plants, people give it lots of visual interest. I don't think a viewer can be "bored" with this picture. Well done.
I found the article in PopPhoto/April issue about capturing Dublin in three days... |
