Good attempt. I like it for the challenge theme. However, I think you would have achieved a more noir mood if the light was tighter on the subject. He's holding up his hand like he is being spotlighted/blinded. So if you were able to concentrate the light on his upper torso, and left the surrounding area darker, this would have been a stronger image.

So far this is the closest I've seen meeting the challenge. A critique would be the model is lit too brightly. I think a bit darker light would have given this more "mood". But overall, I like the image as far as meeting/fitting the challenge.
