Delayed Departureby homensComment: This is my favorite image from this challenge. It's a really candid moment that tells great story. Maybe because I've had so many girls utterly ignore me in my life do I find this image so clever! :) |

Untitledby aznymComment: 1 of 2 10's I gave. Really love the story this tells, the beautiful lighting control, and the strong lines. Excellent image. |

Until death parts usby vawendyComment: What a fantastic image! Technically brilliant and really emotive. My ONLY suggestion would have been to wear a shirt without the graphic as it distracted me a bit. 9 from me. It would ribbon if I were the only judge! |

Where my Fears Liveby WickedSoundComment: The only 10 I gave, and my choice for best image. Great lighting and PP on this gives it a creepy feeling to the MAX. The slight blurring on the edges gives it the dreamy Nightmare feeling. Really well done. |

Spectackulousby GabrielComment: If it were up to me, this would ribbon - Blue or Red. Not sure exactly what this is, but I LOVE the lighting and the creative implementation of the Tacks. Really beautifully executed. |

In-Room Curlsby mm767capComment: Thank you senor_kasper. I'm not sure the image deserves your kindness, but I'll accept it gratefully! I lit this in my bedroom with 2 strobes. There really isn't any ambient light to speak of in this shot. Main light was camera right through an umbrella. The other light is behind me (subject) and the chair, shooting into the background, which is a hanging white sheet. I have a grand total of about 10' to work with between camera and back wall, so there just isn't enough room to really maneuver - hence the foot getting cut off and the blown out highlights. When I had the background strobe on a lower power setting, you could see the wrinkles in the sheet, and I couldn't move far enough forward to compensate for the need to blow such harsh light on the background. I just ran out of time to solve the problem for basic editing, so I just went with what I had. Hopefully someday I'll get a little more space and I can set up a better lighting solution!
Thanks again for the comment! |
