On my first viewing it appeared too dark and the whites too white. But together with the poem, which I didn't know, it's just perfect - in fact rather luminous.

I scored the other one point higher but I like this one alot too. To me, they're two completely different pictures. I'm in Times Square almost everyday - the way you isolated the chaos of the signs, both compositionally and with pp on the first one is terrific. Including the crowds in this one - well, what came to my mind when viewing is - the huddled masses yearning to be free. This is perfect in portrait orientation - your view is outstanding, actually. And I love the title.

by nice I mean I like it and I don't often comment on the model poses (nor, obviously, do I take them so coming from me is different than what some of the ofther professionals might tell you).
But to me the lighting is perfect, the dof works, the composition is excellent and it's very tasteful. I'm surprised this didn't do better.
