| 03/06/2003 06:16:08 PM | Humpty Dumpty Sat In A Cellby IsaacComment: Cute idea! Nice color, but overall seems grainy and not sharp. Flash reflection on the white is pretty nasty. 4 Swash |
| 03/06/2003 06:14:34 PM | Easter Bunnyby BeckyComment: Cute bunny....but so many photo issues - focus - neither the egg nore the bunny look to be in focus. Lighting - left side of bunny seems washed out. Cropping - O.K., but the blue line in the upper left corner is not a good thing. I'm not certain, but I think I see jpeg compression artifacts (too much compression or resizing all at once). The overall image seems small. 3 Swash |
| 03/04/2003 06:50:02 PM | One Strange Bird...by basia03Comment: Very strange, it must be a weaver! (and it weaves golden baskets, would this be some relative of the goose and it's golden eggs? Hint - you might want to loose the manufactured basket). 7 Swash | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/04/2003 06:15:04 PM | Vegan Eggby SarahWMComment: Risky shot (soft focus, right?) I'll bet you're getting a lot of "focus" comments! It's well done, but I'm not certain about the background......7 Swash |
| 03/04/2003 06:06:17 PM | Eggs?by auroraComment: Bath salts in the round....really fun idea, but the focus is on the back of the carton, oops. Are they different scents or just differently colored (american)? 6 Swash |
| 03/04/2003 05:33:15 PM | Projected Egg #2by sunflowerComment: Really neat idea, but the projected image isn't clear, so the overall impression isn't that good. 6 Swash |
| 03/01/2003 03:41:37 PM | Sign of Insanity : Spots before your eyesby BullwinkleComment: Wow, very cool! You have a good sense of humor! The shot is very good, too! Focus is about perfect, good trick to dim your flash, but try carrying a small piece of gause cloth, it should give you a more evenly dulled flash. I gave this an 8, but probably should have gone 9! | 03/01/2003 03:23:16 PM | New Genes Cure Diabetesby BullwinkleComment: Rod, I gave this shot a 9. I was both impressed by the photo and work behind it, very valuable. I hope you do find a cure and get a huge medal for it! (Would this put you in the running for a Nobel?) I like the transparency in front, places the chemical compounds on the microscope. Very creative and ties the two together nicely. The syringe in front might be a little "over the top", but does add a good opposing color releif, so it does have it's benefits.
Sorry I didn't comment this during the challenge week. I try to comment from the bottom up (this is a learning site, right?), so it's often a Martha Stewart "good thing" to not get a comment from me! |
| 02/28/2003 07:53:12 PM | Deadwood Skyby PtmanComment: Very nice! I am drawn to "snag shots". Very good color and focus. Framing - I don't know everything, but limbs coming into the frame from other than the bottom leave me wanting. (Don't worry, it's more of a nit than anything.) 8 Swash |
| 02/28/2003 07:50:57 PM | At Last Springby redfigComment: Very pretty, the water droplets are a great touch! Cropping seems to me to be too much, I'm left wanting to see the edges of the flower. Focus seem really good. Color is nice. 8 Swash | Photographer found comment helpful. |
