Nick, I have this a 7. I think shooting up the beach through the downed tree up to the standing one might have been effective (juxaposition type thing). While the basic technical issues of focus and color were fine, it's the "whoa" visual that just didn't quite jump out at me. I don't think I even noticed the tree standing until this viewing. A tighter crop of the "important" elements might have helped draw attention to those items. Rob the Swash

That is one cool clock tower. Focus seems good. Color is nice, but could stand a little more saturation (personal choice). Challenge - totally met. Score upgrade from 8 to 9. Swash

Pretty flower. Nice color and I always love rain/dew on plants. Your camera is shadowing the flower (bad thing, take a half step back and zoom a tiny bit or change your angle or lighting). Focus is pretty good. Color is pretty good, too, but might be better with a little more saturation. Challenge - without the title, this photo does not say "time" to me (it say's pretty flower). 5 Swash

???? Good color and focus on most of the paper. Flash(?) shadows seem a bit harsh and the lighting on the right edge yellow paper is very harsh. Challenge - without the title, I wouldn't see any connection, with the title, I just don't understand the connection (my bad). 5 Swash

Bizarre shot. It either looks very artistic or really badly taken (I'm not in your head, so I can't say which). It is very dark/gloomy - an unusual tactic for flowers. Challenge - without the title, I'd have no idea what this was stating. With the title, I'm still a bit confused. 5 Swash

It's a fine photo of the gym (terrible lights for shooting). I do "get" the idea you were going for, but without the title, I wouldn't have. It's a bit grainy in places (again those lights!). color seems pretty good. Interest - were I from this school, I'm sure it would be pretty high, but as I'm not.....5 Swash
