Bird - The Scarlet Macawby xertionComment: Beautiful bird! Great detail and color. I see nothing technically wrong (except maybe the tail crop, but I'll go with it). 10 Rob the Swash |

Busy Beesby RemieComment: Bee nookie! Great shot with wonderful detail. The top is way blown (I would have cropped it), but the bees are just too wonderful! 10 Rob the Swash |

Bridgeby inspzilComment: Wonderful photo! Nice use of infrared filters. The stillness of the water really speaks to me and the old pilings are a great kicker, really adds a dimension of history to this photo. 10 Rob the Swash |

Hunting Trophiesby HavokComment: From the teeth, I'd guess these to be wild boar lower jaws. The photo quality is excellent. B&W was a good choice (esp. for the reasons you stated). It is a bit barbaric, not something I'd hang on MY wall, but the challenge reference is clear to me and the photo quality is plenty high. (I didn't vote this challenge, but I'd probably go a 7 or 8) |

It's a Bee's Lifeby TiNComment: Very nice macro! Wonderful details. The back end and wings are perfect, the front end is a little dark/soft, but overall a very, very good image. (I'm sorry I didn't vote this challenge) |

Forgotten...by TiNComment: This is blue, just as blue as the emotion can go. Well executed photo! Nice shadows. |

The Humping Bee and the Bulb :)by paganiniComment: It's a beautiful flower, really nice colors. The short focal range pretty good since the most important elements seem very sharp. Don't mean to blow your title, but I'm 99% certain that's a wasp, not exactly a bee. Still, it's a pretty shot. 8 Rob the Swash |

Last Chop of the Dayby sanandanComment: Really nice shot! At first, I thought it was a bit too dark, but upon reflection...it seems just about right. Wild knife! (What is she chopping??) 9 Rob the Swash |

Retirementby dodobirdComment: Excellent silhouette! I like how the glasses look in this. Great detail (he has hairy arms & legs and the fishing line is clear all the way up)!!!! Wonderful blue sky. If I had ANY kind of complaint it would be the blown horizon, but It's just not THAT bad!! 9 Rob the Swash |

Work at 97 knots: 1943 Fairey Swordfish torpedo bomberby SharQComment: Great shot of the airplane! To me, this seems more like "play" than work as these aircraft were retired several decades ago. The people may be "working" in the sense of a flight demo or such....still it's hard to call this "at work" (don't worry, it's not a huge score effect). 8 Rob the Swash |
