Oh my, this has many elements that I really enjoy! Colorful sunset, neat sillhouette of a twisted tree. As I ponder this shot, it seems to me this would be a very hard shot to "get just right". I think you did about as good as possible with this lighting and subject matter. I want the tree to "stand out", well it does (I always want more!). This one is tough to score! 7 Swash

Ohh my! This is really nice! Nice concept, good eye to spot it. I think it would have been more effective w/o the woods on the left, but I'm not asking you to cut down a forest! I really like the sun shining through the trees and their shadows! Very nice! Strong 8. Swash

Very pretty. Nice combination of landscape, city scape and people. I just realized that the beach extends across the whole picture is is full up crowded the entire length! Wow, that's alot of people on the beach! Nice puffy clouds! Good color. 8 Swash

Pretty sunset! Very nice! (sorry, but ugly telephone poles/wires) I really like the red mountains in the background. Suggestion - re-crop just below the dark sillhouette line (removes the street lights, etc.) and move around, stand in a truck bed (get above/away from the poles/wires). 7 Swash

Referring to the title, I see a few patches of blue sky, but no sun rays. It's a bit hazy, but could be clouds in the way. Combo shot - landscape/city scape. In a way, I like this thought, sort of human encrochment (sp). The dull-ness (caused by clouds/haze/pollution) takes away some of the drama I think this shot could portray. 7 Swash

Pretty stream and valley. I am assuming that's low clouds/haze and that you wanted in the photo. (Bet you're getting "use a haze filter" comments!) But did you really want the two sun flares? (If not, try shading the front of the lens from above, might help some, or a different angle shot). 7 Swash

Nice shot, neat clouds, but a little low for general interest. It's your home, I don't mean to offend, but it doesn't draw me in. I also like the watering hole, maybe if that were a larger part of the photo? 6 Swash

Lovely sky. The colors of this sunset are wonderful, nice clouds, too. I sort of question the inclusion on your building, but your title ties in to make it seem more valid. I question city-scapes as landscapes, but who knows, you (and the others) might not be able to leave the city (for one of several reasons I can think of), so I'm not "dinging" any scores for that reason, but I do question it.

Nice shot! Technically this is more of an architecture shot, but I've not dinged any of the other city scapes either, so I won't this one. (Who am I to say you could or couldn't get out to the backcountry...no wheels, not able, whatever) Sepia always makes me think of OLD and that bridge looks very old, but the towers behind it don't (mix doesn't feel good). Focus and lighting seem very good. Contrast is well done, too. 7 Swash

I really like the trees in the left corner, with the slope of the hill, it seems very interesting to me. Usually, I like close foreground stuff (most often coming from the bottom of the frame), but for some reason I just don't like those branches just hanging on the left edge of the photo. I see the clouds and yes a bit stormy, but IMO not contrasty/dark enough to be really threatening (see title). I think I could have lived with the hill being fully sillhouetted (just a thought). 7 Swash
