Flower 2.JPGby sonniejakeComment: I've taken the liberty of uploading the re-edit I spoke of (please tell me if you would rather I removed my version); just in case you are interested to see what the tweaking I referred to looks like. Working on just a small jpeg rather than the source RAW limits what I can do with my novice skills, but here you go:
I think it brings out some latent potential in the image, but that final analysis is of course yours.

Venus, Fireby pixelpigComment: Hmm.. I very nearly like this, but the image as a whole seems a little unbalanced; I'm not sure if it is the composition or the POV. |

In the Grey .JPGby sonniejakeComment: I'm not sure this works - without the colour it feels like I am looking at this flower through a military image intensifier. It is good to experiment though. |

Hospital-Flowers.jpgby jomariComment: If I'm honest, I'm not so keen on this one it feels like I am looking at them through sunglasses. Certainly accomplished work, but not for me - sorry. |

Yellow tulipby FrostyPawsComment: I love the composition and lighting but for me, it isn't quite sharp enough or blurry / dreamy enough - it sits somewhere in between. |

Color for my kissby PaulComment: As expected this has just been DQ'd. Absolutely the right decision following the other DQ in this challenge. Although mine was more subtle in how it created a new image area, the same rules apply. Had I raised the crayon a little I could've created a natural boundary and desaturated to her right (viewer's left) but as it is, the small arbitary end of the desaturation just above the crayon is illegal.
