The Heart of the Cityby debitiptonComment: 38 Comments side challenge:
I can see why you've taken this but it doesn't really work for me - sharpness, contrast and indeed the POV are not really good enough to make a high impact image. |

This is really, really nice - I am full of admiration for the way you have managed to preserve the individual elements within the editing constraints. Top quality work. |

An interesting scene - the trees have an infrared capture look about them. The fishermen are an excellent inclusion but I'd like to have seen them just a little bigger in the frame. |

A Storm Looms in the Valleyby glockguyComment: 38 Comments side challenge:
Nice image which I'm sure captures the scene well. Perhaps comes over a little drab but I'm sure this has as much to do with the day as anything else. |

Early Morning Lightby Ja-9Comment: 38 Comments side challenge:
Pretty scene - it looks a little familiar, like I've commented on a colour version of this scene before. Janine?
I do like it but the tree foliage is a little 'crunchy' - always difficult in B&W 'basic'. |

I really like this - bold contrast and oodles of negative space really works.
The only bit I'm not keen on is the foreground. I think a slightly tighter crop at the bottom may have stopped this area from dominating. |

Unforgiving by ekmaiComment: 38 Comments side challenge:
I really like this - sharp but still with the softness - like you have run a tonal contrast filter and then followed it up with something like Nik's Glamor Glow.
Great scene. |
