I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Wow. This is amazing - an image that transcends the normal animal image and becomes something else entirely. It does some things to the viewer's brain - I like that!

Critical stuff: This is an amazing scene but it looks a little under-processed; some colour handling or even black and white with a vignette centred on the eye would have offered some good emphasis for your subject(s).

Overall: Of course it's a great image and my personal processing preferences don't get in the way of that. Great shot.

Positives: Wonderful stuff this - it does have a dreamlike quality about it. I really like the soft movement and the toning. The prominence of the curtain makes me wonder if this is a Rachel image but if I had to put money on it I'd say no. The elements that make up the composition are very well located in the frame and it is this positioning and framing that makes the image so successful.

Critical stuff: Nothing at all.

Overall: Excellent image. It won't do well but I think it should!

Positives: Well you've certainly managed to pull of an abstraction of this scene, I particularly like the 'wavy' characteristics in the image. I like the unusual colour palette too.

Critical stuff: In my mind there is something missing here; something that moves this picture from subtle and beautiful to something that is a little over-done. I wish I could give you more of a clue as to why that is but I really can't put my finger on it. The bright speck certainly doesn't help.

Overall: I commend you vision here and I like what this nearly is - perhaps it made it all the way for you (I hope so), but for me, it isn't pushing my buttons.

Positives: I like unusual portraits, I have a soft spot for them. This one is unusual for a number of reasons - the extreme lighting, the garish coloration, the 'pose', your POV; combine these together and you offer something which is quite a piece of work.

Critical stuff: nothing really

Overall: The more I look a this the more I realise how much work is here and how someone like me could only ever aspire to be able to pull it off. Very good indeed.

Positives: What interesting imagery - full of story, though we are left to extrapolate our own script from your title. This image has an organic, uncontrolled, unbounded quality that I like. I often comment that all photographs are contrived, at least through our process of framing. Here, that effect is minimised - the scene is consuming and alive and through that it feels very uncontrived. Does that make any sense at all?

Critical stuff: Nothing

Overall: This has quite a different feel from most of the images we see. I like that. A lot.

Positives: This is great - an outtake from Missed focus? Certainly good enough to be reserved for the FS. I really like the dynamism here and the way you have captured the loveliness and fun of the day. High sharpness works well here too.

Critical stuff: Not much - there are some conspicuous dark halos around the front of a couple of faces that I might have worked on but other than that I think it is great.

Overall: A really compelling image - one that you feel as much as look at.

Positives: I rally like the geometry here, all of the lines contribute to the image. I really like the colours too - the acidic yellow against the bile green! But most of all I like the pristine composition.

Critical stuff: The red thing under the left hand bench - it kind of throws the image out of whack a bit.

Overall: Very effective. I like it a lot.

Agreed - you may think this is shit Clive, but the way this remains photographic whilst showcasing the art and linking the whole thing to the artist is what makes this work. Many found the challenge to be a DPC conundrum and you led the way.
