sunflowers_1by rileyComment: This is a really pretty composition. I do wonder if a tad more contrast might be an enhancement... |

Point or Boundryby bspurgeonComment: I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: A nice textural study - as ever with images like this, the actual scale of the image remains vague. I like that. The arrow B(?) and D(?) shapes are highly intriguing.
Critical stuff: Images like this always have an uphill battle in terms of interest. The is little inherent interest in the scene and as such you have little as a photographer than you can work with / emphasise.
Overall: Taking the above into account I DO think you've lived up to your responsibility here and gotten the best from the scene in front of you. It certainly works for me. |

Modern sun worshipingby mitalapoComment: I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: Great coloration and the exposure is perfectly judged too. The idea behind the image is very strong too.
Critical stuff: In my view, the composition and crop are sub-optimal; I think less sky, more beach, with a squarer crop sacrificing the right side of the image may have been better. The people are really interesting and I think your crop has (metaphorically and literally) cut them off at the knees.
Overall: I do like the image but perhaps not as much as I might've with different compositional choices. |

Room of Dreamsby raishComment: I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: An usual FS offering to be sure but it does have plenty of story to offer. What a lot of work there is to do here....! And by all accounts she seems happy about it too.
Critical stuff: Given the eye is drawn to the lady on the right of the image. I'd have ensured that the vertical line at the far right of the image was brought into square.
Overall: Not particularly high impact but a fun (and unusual) offering nonetheless. |

Characteristically compelling. |

Psychedelic Nightmare (Hues II)by BeetleComment: Thanks for the pointer to the image. I took Hues II to be the title of the challenge, not the entry. I searched challenges (didn't find it) and I searched by title (your title) and didn't find it. Referencing the user (you) would've matched the way I was searching.
I still gave it a 6 though. I did an initial scoring pass based on the images as a standalone piece and then modified as necessary when (or if) I tracked the original down. |
