I'm not sure what the nakedness plays into the story of the shot since the tension of the expression and the limbs add all I need to get me "into the scene".

Who waits at the rainy window nekkid? LOL!

I suppose it's the oddness of it all that sells this.

Congrats on your top ten!

OK! So it's a story that makes sense that you want. I can't promise to deliver on that - I plan to continue on the odd path for a while.

In the meantime though, here is my non-nude alternate but I don't believe it has the same power:

Indeed, it was the thirty-fold price difference that did it!

Pristine. Well done on the ribbon. I'm not sure I've ever seen the top three match the respective ribbon colours before.

I'm not a prude, but the "nudeness" detracts (for me) from the beautiful model and the fabulous light.
I think with some filmy upper cloth, this could be a 10.

I'd really like to hear what you think the nakedness brought to the image.

(feel free to message me, if you like)

Thanks for the comment and the consequent discussion, it was really interesting and you made me think.

This is a new comment series for me, so please bear with me while I find my style!

(Voted earlier)

This is one of my 10s - I like it very much. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:

1. The technical quality of the image - its crispness and clarity is perfect - that's just a starter though.

2. This image transports me - it make me feel that I've stepped through a time portal and this is where I have ended up. It has an uncommon level of realism.

3. Part of that is down to the coloration - it's so naturalistic; you have the saturation and contrast profiles absolutely perfect.

4. The angle and POV adds much interest , it's clearly a wide shot but avoids any distortion - again, the perspective, DOF and feel are like a camera lens has not mediated the scene. It's eerie.

5. I really like the eclectic subject matter too - so matter of fact, casual but precise.

Overall, this is masterful - I don't know how you've done it but you hit the sweet spot in my brain perfectly. I love it.
