To His Dog, His Man is Kingby manic35Comment: Now I decided that I wasn't going to vote on this challenge because the honest truth is I'm not a big fan of pet pics.
However your picture is outstanding, the framing is perfect and I love the depth of field. That coupled with the white background just sets this above the rest.
I'm also impressed a I know photgraphing black dogs can be difficult.
He looks friendly little chap I have to say.
All in all it's a 10 from me (so now I'm going to have to mark the rest to make sure this 10 sticks eh) |

The End of the Roadby ar_lauraComment: Hey Laura
Well done with your first entry, you scored higher than I did with my first.
I've looked at your settings and with a shutter speed of 1/32s I think the focus problem is likely to be due to camera shake.
Try aperture priority and set to something like F16 or higher to get a better depth of field and hence more focus from foreground to background.
Personaly I prefer to use a lower ISO as well to reduce noise.
The only issue with what I'm sugesting is that you would most likely need to pop your camera on a tripod or at least balance it on something and use the timer.
Hey and now you have some software try using an Unsharp Mask
