A home should be warm and invitingby NeatComment: Such a lovely image evoking a sphere of a time gone past with the soft misty look. I really like this very much and I voted it a 10. I think it's been underrated generally. |

Chappe Street by AllenPComment: Proficiat on the Blue Allen. It's a great image and most deserving of the top honors. I was expecting it to finish in the top 3. My vote was a 10. |

CATASTROPHEby wdammanComment: Great shot but what a terrible tragedy. Was this just before the actual moment it happened or was this on another occasion? Message edited by author 2011-08-29 02:28:22. |

it has begunby AmmieComment: Amanda this is really very very beautiful. Wonderful light and the trees are fantastic, especially that gnarled, bent over old tree and also the slanted tree on the left. Super processing that enhances this image even more. The fog rising from the barren earth like smoke adds something surreal and almost apocalyptic to the scene. It looks like a painting by one of the great Dutch masters. You really have a most amazing photograph here. Adding this one to my favorites.
Ps. After reading Rian's comment I just realized that the fog is in fact smoke and that what i am looking at is the aftermath of a veldfire. I echo Rian's concern in hoping that the damage was not too severe. Message edited by author 2011-08-19 14:58:26. |

Forbearing with a Heart of a Rebel by HighNoonerComment: This is absolutely beautiful. One of the most stunning horse portraits i have seen. From a distance it looks like a finely drawn and subtly colored in pencil sketch. |
