Going to the Chapelby crabappl3Comment: Very nice use of natural light to give this shot great depth and tone! Lovely bride! Great soft focus effect to make her glow even more on her big day! A touch more catch light in her eye and this would be nearly perfect!

Where's the Party?by photomComment: Beautiful baby boy and an awesome use of catch light to get the twinkle in his eye! Did you PS the vignette effect or was it a spot type light creating this effect? I'm not sure I like it, but it's not too distracting. I did notice that it is a touch flat and dull. If you move your lights to one side more (rather than so direct in front) you'll get more depth. The dull part is either a need for more lights or a bit of tweaking in PS with the levels.

Kellyby TallblokeComment: Good creative use of lighting. You do have some purplish cast in the shadows of her face though. Not sure what caused this. A white poster board reflector on that side would help with this I believe. I love that you managed to get the catch light in her eyes. Very important in a portrait. My biggest complaint with this shot though is that her outfit and the background kind of blend together. THis makes her look like a floating head which is not as pleasant an image as she deserves.

All American Pug, He thinks he's human!by hallswelComment: I have no problem with a dog as a subject for a portrait, in fact in some areas you can make AWESOME money doing pet portraits. You have a beautiful dog here. However, the shot doesn't quite do him justice. First off, it's a little cluttered. There are too many elements and most of them don't really add too much. The next thing (and probably most important) is the unimaginative lighting. This looks dull and flat. Moving more of the lights to one side or another would help give it depth. More lights would help with the colors (as well as boosting the levels in PS). You also managed to crop (either in editing or in camera) off his leg which to me is a little distracting.

Ponderousby dagills22191Comment: Awesome pose and beatiful shot of a lovely young lady! I like how you have the lighting here. You have great sense of depth, while maintaining the lovely pale creamy white skin without blowing it out. Great catch light in the eyes. Only real distraction is the butterflies on her shirt. A different outfit (or a little cloning) and this would be the bomb!

Me and Myselfby artvetComment: This shot is simply precious! I love how you managed to get two different poses (profile and full on) into the same portrait shot! I'm not sure I like the yellowish cast though. And while your lighting is spot on for depth, a touch of catch light in her eye would take this shot one step beyond!

I can hear musicby RUEDISCHMUTZComment: Lovely young lady in a very cute pose! Great use of catch light to get the twinkle in her eye. Nice use of creative lighting to giver her face depth. Two things that would take this from a good shot to a great shot, there's a little bit of clutter in the background. A simple cloth hung behind or a slightly different angle takes care of that. Also, the left side of the shot is a tad too dark at the top. I would try a simple reflector (spelled white poster board) to bounce back just a touch of light onto the headphones!

Sheridanby gajmajComment: Lovely young lady in a great pose! I really like how she's looking off frame too. Hey, your lighting is a touch harsh though making the shot look kinda flat. You got awesome light on her hair. A little catch light in her eyes would make them twinkle nicely! I think this is done with a reflector or a smaller light to the front.

My Love...by toddheadComment: Very beautiful young lady! (Have I seen her here before?) Nice shot. I'm not sure I like the yellowish cast to it. It also seems a little flat. You lose her nose almost. If more of the lighting was to the side it would help. The black glove also gets lost but against the background. I REALLY love the hair lighting and the catch light in her eyes. I need to find out how to do those two things for myself!
