Sexy Unwindby AllenPComment: I've decided to comment on every shot in this challenge, since I'm sitting at 0 comments, and I'd rather try and take a positive approach to this rather than simply whining about my score:
A nice, if somewhat static, studio shot. There's some energy here (especially in the hair), and the primary color work is wonderful, but there's a certain lack of soul... of being. I'm also not certain what it is you want to sell. Considering the "product shot" nature of the photo, I feel that I should want to purchase something the model is presenting, but I'm at a loss as to what that is. The outfit? The hairstyle? The costume jewelery?
It's a little discombobulating. |

A very well shot scene in bright and direct sunlight. It highlights the fashion, and emphasizes the wear. However, the model and her fashion seem to clash with the choice of background, being dressed in somewhat of a light-casual business look, but placed in a summer carefree setting. The choice to omit bottoms seems to try and recognize this apparent juxtaposition, but doesn't really fully marry them in my eyes. |

This is a nice macro-style minimalist shot, and definitely works in the theme of the challenge nicely. I feel, however, that it's lacking in energy, in a way. Seems a little too static and soul-less. I don't know exactly what I would do differently, but maybe take a less dark and profile look at the scene, and bring in some more of the fuller face. Minimize the "skin pore" style, and maximize the "beauty" angle. If that makes any sense. |

sundialby skewsmeComment: I need to start photographing more like this. It's a style that really speaks to me. If this isn't Rinac's, then whoever it is is channeling her nicely. |

Statement of Funby colorcarnivalComment: Certainly different, focusing on something other than the child's face/expression/etc, but not so sure if it works for me. |

A Day for Colorby ace flymanComment: A nice studio study. I tend to like these more when the child is focused on interacting with the environment, however, than directly with the photographer, unless cropped/framed closer in. Personal preference, of course, just a note. |
