| 12/01/2008 04:50:18 PM | we're all mad hereby firstkissComment: She slowly climbed down out of the clearing, and the White Rabbit stopped and stared.
"I'm.. I.. uh... late. That is, I mean.. Important. Late. I.." he stammered, as she continued to smile seductively and inch towards him, her body moving just so, each step over a branch or root revealing a glimpse along each silky, smooth, luci...
"No! I'm late for a very important date!!!!" It was more a screech than a statement, and he wanted to go, he had to go. The Queen would have his head, and why did she have the Mad Hatter's hat on anyway? This wasn't the Alice that had come through the hole. What was going on? Why could he not turn his gaze?
Closer, and closer she came, "I have a gift for you, my little bunny." Her voice soft, seductive, wonderful.
He stood rooted to the spot. This was not the Alice he remembered. She finally reached him, and stroked his fur, and his body reacted in a way that a White Rabbit's body should never react in a story of this nature, and he gave in to her charms, and he gave himself to this Alice that was not Alice, this succubi.
So it was that he never noticed the blood stains, or the carving knife she drew out of her bodice, and when it was over, and the White Rabbit was now far more than just White, Wonderland discovered the true meaning of the Cheshire Cat's statement that "We are all mad here."
Some, sometimes, just go a little more mad than most. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

| 12/01/2008 04:02:22 PM | High Desertby BlackboxComment: Norman put his arms around his son's shoulder and swept the other out, encompassing all the view.
"One day, my son, I shall no longer stand here, king of this land, and when that day comes all that you see will then be yours."
Little Jimmy looked about, then sighed. Great, King of rocks and scrubland, just what he always wanted. "That's... great dad." he said, trying to sound positive. "Can I go back to playing Xbox now?"
And so it was that Little Jimmy eventually moved away and became the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, and Norman died with no other heir, and the land passed into the keeping of the Prickly Pears, and knew suffering for an age. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 12/01/2008 03:55:17 PM | Trees in Fogby PaulComment: An hour into his hike, Peter stopped. Something was wrong. The gentle breeze that had softly played through the woods for the last couple of hours had died suddenly, leaving a cloying feel to the air. The sounds of the forest had likewise cut right off. It was as if he'd walked into an air-tight container, yet here he stood, surrounded by the trees and scrub.
What made him look up, he didn't know. Perhaps some change or movement or sixth sense, but look up he did. What he saw there shocked him so badly he could make no sound at all. He was frozen to the spot, his eyes locked onto what was happening in horror. What his eyes showed him reminded him of the time he had watched a city clean-up crew whitewash graffiti off a building wall in the park he was playing in as a child. A memory that stuck with him, as he watched what he had thought to be a beautiful painting being scrubbed away with white paint. It had saddened him at the time.
Now, so many years later, he watched not in sadness, but in horror. For it was happening again right in front of him. This time, it was not a graffiti mural, but the very world being scrubbed away. From the top down. As the white of nothingness descended towards him, wiping out the forest as if it were nothing, it seemed that the paralyzing fear finally broke and Peter let out a wailing scream.
Then all was erased. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
