| 05/01/2009 11:35:53 AM | White Liesby JessiComment: It was a happy night that went down in infamy.
It was Bruce Banner's birthday, and he and his friends had decided to go out for Karaoke to let off a little steam and have a little fun.
But it was while performing "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me", that a group of drunk rabble-rousers entered the bar. A group hell-bent on causing as much mischief as they could. And when their taunts and cat-calls took on more and more personal notes, that Bruce began to get angry.
They soon learned that they wouldn't like it when Bruce gets angry. Especially not when he's singing Elton John for all he's worth. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 05/01/2009 11:31:33 AM | Sink Bathby kcmComment: His aunt stood by as she got ready to bathe little Johnny. She had been called in unexpectedly a few nights ago, when things went from joy and happy expectation to worry and fear in the matter of a few moments.
However, that fear was short-lived, and through some miracle little Johnny's mother had given birth to the biggest baby ever born naturally to a living human. True, she had to stay in hospital for awhile to recover, but the Guinness Book of Records had called, and the media had their feel-good story of the decade, and everything was going wonderfully for all involved.
Well, wonderfully for everyone but Aunt Beth, who was looking up phone numbers for physio-therapists. Not many people had to rock a 45 lb infant to sleep every few hours! | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 05/01/2009 11:24:36 AM | Playing in Long Grassby 3DsArcherComment: Wilbur looked around and sighed.
Once again he had been forced out of his warm bed in front of the fire at an ungodly time of morning.
Once again he had been made to go running through the grasses and marshes to please his crazy master.
Once again he had to sniff out the reeking stench of buckshot filled duck, so that said master could boast about his skills to his poker buddies.
And what did he get out of it? What did he get for his tireless and thankless work? What did he...
"Good boy Wilbur! Good boy, that's my good boy, who's a good doggie? Who's my boy?"
His master stroked his ears and rubbed his head and Wilbur instantly forgot all his lament and bounded off into the grasses.
Oh yes. He'd forgotten. That's what he got out of it.
He was a GOOD dog! | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 05/01/2009 11:21:29 AM | Swans at the Castleby kevip6Comment: It was symbolic, though not to themselves. For themselves, it was just life, and love, as it was always meant to be. For themselves it was as natural as the tulip in the spring, as the bee on the tulip, as the honey from the bee.
For themselves, it was beauty and wonder and feeling, and their love shone like the noon day sun and brightened their hearts.
For themselves, they did not understand the symbolism of this specific moment, as they glided silently in front of a bastion of the old order. An order that would have, in a time not too distant, forbidden their love.
Yet here they were, free as a pair of birds, flaunting that freedom in the face of what used to be a death sentence, and showing the world that it had, indeed, moved on. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/31/2009 01:47:47 PM | Out-burst of fire ball by sekarmalathyComment: Brilliant colors, energy, and a strong abstract sense, but the motion isn't entirely evident. Whatever motion was used to this result was rendered static in the final work, IMO. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/31/2009 01:46:55 PM | Tumbling Nudeby digifotojoComment: A nice, colorful abstract, but I don't get an overly impressive sense of motion out of this. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/31/2009 01:46:27 PM | 6:20 ishby RunzamukkComment: The motion, to me, may be a little too subtle for this challenge, and the abstract is next to non-existent outside of a very conceptual basis. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/31/2009 01:36:58 PM | Warp Speed Mr Sulu...by jlanoueComment: The noise doesn't enhance this photo in any way for me, and what is left is a pretty basic star-trail shot that doesn't really pique my interest. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/31/2009 01:35:28 PM | Rainbow of Lightby Mark-AComment: While I know that the light that created this had to have been in motion, the scene itself is very static and doesn't convey that motion to me, the viewer. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/31/2009 01:34:45 PM | Abstract 20.5.16.5.5by bobonacusComment: kind of dizzying, definitely abstract, but this kind of motion blur still doesn't convey much 'motion' to me on an overall basis. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
