Wedding Photographerby jtf6agentComment: Following up on my comment.
I thought this would place higher too, and when I got to page 2 and still didn't see this, I was a little shocked. It was an 8 from me, but I guess you can't win them all.
Brad has some interesting points. I didn't notice the finger creases myself, but it seems a couple of people did. He's right though, now that I see them, it's almost all I see.
Anway, I like this shot, and it was one of my highest scoring, so be proud, no matter where it ended up. |

Just Meby JudiComment: Following up on my comment.
I see that you shot this in ISO 1000, which would account for the noise in the black of your outfit.
Interesting choice. Was it accidental or purposely? I'm interested in learning which, and why |

morning abstractby yankoComment: Perhaps they consider the one side to be too big? I don't know how this works. Would it be considered a "new element"? |

The Webmaster Uglyby gocComment: Hrrm.. I might have to 'upgrade' my w810i to a k610i. The cameras in the K series seem to be *so* much better. |

Window washerby kolasiComment: Going on a second pass of my lower votes, and I'm forced to bump this one up. Although I'm still not a giant fan of the angle you've chosen (I don't get a real sense of "occupation" here, as the person(s) that are doing the job are pretty hidden, even in the reflections), the shot has enough to stand itself on a good technical level. In a challenge having to do with lines, or patterns, or something, this would be a bit stronger. Here, it just doesn't have enough of a tie-in for me. |

I, The Chicken Farmerby LadyKComment: A little bright in areas, and you need to clean the glass better! ;)
Ok, I'm nitpicking. Bumping this up on a second pass-through. |

Daydreaming Studentby Trumpeteer4Comment: I've had this photo voted lower for a few days, but coming back to it, I have to bump it up some, as it's really a very nicely done shot technically. The pose still feels very forced and insincere though, something to think about and work with your models on maybe? (especially if the model is you? heh) |

Summer Shower (I photograph landscapes in my retirement)by Bear_MusicComment: I don't know what it is about this photo, but I just don't get any sense of belonging out of it. Many times, if I see a landscape like this, I can feel like I'm there, but in this one, I *feel* like I'm just looking at it on paper/through a screen. Problem is, I can't place exactly why. There's depth, yet it still feels flat.
Maybe it has something to do with that overly bright spot in the reeds along down from the cloud line... lens flare of some sort? It sucks me in more than the surroundings.
Ahhh heck. This is just one of those times where nothing I can say is particularly helpful. I just don't like it on a personal level. |
