Art Viewing Sydney Harbourby Gordon_1Comment: So, Art's Visiting Australia. The shot is very cluttered. I am trying to remember this exact spot, cause the photo would have been better IMO if it was taken from further to the left with a more standard crop, such that the ferry and the bridge were not competing for the same space (just can't remember how much room is there though) The positioning of the woody is a little awkward, I didn't know that Art could bend his body like that. Having him sit on the ledge, and being more in focus, would have been better.
Shame about the weather, Sydney obviously was not producing those Blue sky days, as the grey/White sky means there is little impact in the photo. |

Admiring the Countrysideby SnapperLComment: Nice picture. I like the effect you are trying to get with the stream. However, the trees are a little restricting i the photo, especially with the area visible to the right of the right tree. Also, there is little impact from the photo, and there is no strong connection to the challenge topic |

Look Ma!!! Down Under!!!by carlosComment: Art is welcome to visit us down here whenever he wants. Love the background you have in this. A little more fil light from the front would help as the globe and woody's hand are a little dark on my screen.
The lighting effect though on woody's head works well |

On a desert island by BrinComment: Good idea here. Nice Sillouette you have with the woody on Art's Shoulder. The Sun's Rays are great. |

Art's long search for the woodie tree takes him to the ends of the earth.by scooter88Comment: Interesing composition........Not really sure what to think about this. It goes against all rules of thumb etc to to with Photography, yet somehow it, to some extent, works.
I have been rather critical of people who shoehorned in landscapes, yet this photo, and its composition, makes me think it was taken with the challenge in mind.......
This light is good, the colours are spot on. There is still a lot of sky in the photo, and little else. Would have been great if the back of the sky was not completely clouded, but you can't fix nature.
Still can't make up my mind on this, I can't see it being as effective with more foreground. I am sure you are going to get people bagging you for the lack of it though. I've talked myself into it, well done, you have made me think, and the composition is very effective. |

Well, there's good news and there's bad news...by houstonianComment: Tell zilla to give him back......
Different idea and achieved the intent well. Normally not a fan of this type of Photography effect, however you have pulled it off well, and it fits the challenge perfectly........well done |

Termites?by vtruanComment: We hope not.
Great, and different idea, helps it stand out from the crowd.
I would have gone for a greater depth of field, so that the shavings at the top of the pile were in focus, as they at the moment are a little distracting the way they are. |

Planet Elt Teasby jaysonmcComment: Struggling to see the connection to the challenge here in this photo......
Ignoring that, it is a very interesting capture. The sky works well against the Sillouette here, which is a very interesting shape. I think though, if the sun was not in the photo as a bright spot in the corner (ie taken slightly earlier), then the overall image would be improved further. |

Walking to the Edge of the World...is it Art?by JaimeVinasComment: nice. A landscape that though is connected to the challenge, and has some thought put into it. The lone person on the cliff makes this photo from the challenge side.
The colours through the sky are great, well done |
