At first I really liked this, once I looked at it for a while I didn't like it quite as much, not sure what it is something feels strange maybe the composition, or it maybe the contrast in the daff petals seemingly high, I can't quite put my finger on it.

Gorgeous shot, nice use of the posts to act as a frame, love the slight desat feel - only a couple of nitpicks really, seems a little cluttered in the foreground with the plate and knife and the water looks a little over sharpened.

This could have been very good, not sure what it is but something looks a little strange in the middle of the back region (maybe processing but it looks a little blown in the back of the bird and the rest looks slightly tinted / tinged).

This is actually quite a nice shot Janine, however (sharpness aside) it lacks that something extra that is needed for a FS entry to score well. Had this been entered in to say a bridges challenge it would have done far better.

I suffered the same fate this month because I entered a shot that I personally really liked rather than one I knew would go 6+
