This is the first one I spotted and had to see first... I like it because its all in focus in the front and has the dark smart blur like in the back...Did you have to do a lot of editing in your photos...

Defanetly having fun, a good expression too... The things in the background are a bit distracting though they are a part of the game, I think this could be neat if you was to move slightly to the left and capture more of the side lines of the field or perhaps a tighter crop... Maybe even the pitcher and umpire included would be a good shot... 8

Nice colors here and the background to the right really does bring the flower to the front.. I like the shadow affect it has on it.. I imagine you did some ps things to it.. Just curious was it burn or dodge..? Certainly a nice macro, thanks for the thoughts on moms day in the forums..Peace!

At the arms it doesnt look so real or faded at all...It seems strange too to have the arms in opposite directions. Its a neat concept though.. I dont know maybe a little to much fading on the bottom too where the hand could be in more focus.. perhaps this will help some but dont change on account of my opinion if you like it...I am just telling you what I think because you did ask :)

I think its awesome that you are thinking out of the box, out of the ordinary and right on target with what the topic of the challenge was.. Its to bad this one had not scored higher because its really good.. For you to make the blinds going in the diagonal direction is superb as well. Its got a nice soft feeling but yet its sharpened right.. A good contrast too.. Well done for the frist challenge... Keep at it I'd like to see you and Sara win a ribbon... Well I would like to too but I have a lot of improving to do or to find a subject, shoot it well and hopefully the dpcers here will like it.. I think the majority of how you win here is if it appeals to the voters... dont let that discourage you though there are some that have a mind... Peace!

You can say that again... I agree with you. But its apparent not to be hard for you.. I really like how your dog stands out in this. I also want to say thank you for leaving your notes to your process of how you accomplished this. I have to say I would be proud to have a dog like that and I am sure you are, so that said your portrait is a honor to her and dogs like her.. Wow a very good and well done!
