It's a good shot, nice light, good focus, an interesting arrangement. However, without the title, this says 'collector' more than 'family' to me. The white thing on the black in the bottom right corner (a reflection maybe, or something behind a see-through cabinet?) is a bit distracting.

I do like this shot (I'm a fan of sillhouetted sunset pics), although I'd have loved to see the colours of the sky pop more so I'd have pushed the saturation of the red and yellow channels up a bit. Their poses are a little bit stiff and obviously posed, I feel a more relaxed posture would have been a bit better. Overall it conveys a nice idea of a united family sharing a nice moment, a thoughtful shot and good composition/exposure.

This is well-taken, the exposure is good and and so is the focus but it's a bit like a holiday snap (albeit a good one), it doesn't say 'family' to me, it suggests more like 'Summertime' or 'holidays'. Shame about the slight flare next to her ear. Generally it's a nice happy shot but doesn't really fit this challenge in my eyes.

Quite a few issues with this image unfortunately which make it a low-scorer for me; the pic needs to be rotated somewhat to the right, the skewed stair rails look odd and without rotation, the angle the boy is standing at looks odd too. The image is quite noisy. The light on the right side of the shot is quite harsh compared to the dull light on the other side. Hardly any detail visible on the boy's face. I like the general idea and the title but that's about it I'm afraid.

Neither the photo nor the title conveys the idea of family. A bit noisy also and not a wholly interesting subject. Nice colours but a low-scorer for me, I'm afraid.

A strange entry, not quite sure what to make of it; interesting items, the focus is nice and sharp, however the image itself doesn't portray 'family' to me.

Adorable shot, that little girl's expression is especially lovely. A very sweet moment between the big brother and his little sister. :-) I think the Hello Kitty is a wee bit distracting (the block bit of white) so I'd have taken the headband off her before taking the shot. I would like to see this with slightly brighter highlights, midtones and some deepened contrast. Very nice shot overall.

Typical kids, lol. I like the title. Feels a little bit cramped though, I'd have cropped (or taken, whichever) the shot further out, so there was more of the kids in the frame. I'd have also maybe had them standing further forward of the thing they're in front of, to help blur it a little. Cute shot though, quite nice focus too.

This is cute, nice focus and DOF. The magenta hues on the image are a bit too strong though, it overpowers the other colours, I'd have lowered the magenta channel a bit.
