I like this very much.The seawall pulls me to the left, which at first seems pointless, but then after following the wall to the end I discover the lone person, hiding. Excellent application of the challenge topic.

Very nice colors on this one... the blue and orange work wonderfully. This isn't the sort of photo I would expect to see in this challenge, but it works well.
Minor nitpick- the dark shadow on the duck's head obscures not only the pleasing color but also its eye, something which is generally included in wildlife shots to give a feeling of life and connection.

This one is sorta just...odd to look at. It's not readily obvious initially where it is the water ends. Besides, it's strange for trees to be growing out of water like that. Really just pulls me into things.

When I saw this, I was wondering if it was an inversion, or something else. It felt like an ice formation made of dirty motor oil. Weirdness complimented by cracks and weathering, very nice.

The City

The quasi-double exposure just works so wonderfully here. The clouds on the building are...just awesome. The patched light at the bottom almost seems like on a negative. Overall a very interesting image, makes you look into things, take it apart, and experience it yourself- this is much welcomed.

Into the Great Wide Open

I like this one much more than your alternates. It conveys more. The sunsets are pretty, no doubt, but I love this one more. To me, it captures much of the childhood happiness... feeling like you're flying, with the ocean out below you. And it looks so much like summer! It's great to have shots like this in the depths of winter. :)

The distortion of the image from the windshield is nice, it adds to the atmosphere, the feeling of drear, the city ennui. Sitting in the car, away from it but never escaping. Nice.

Bird Ballet

This seems a bit nontraditional for you; I certainly didn't expect this was from you, which is neither good nor bad. I like how the reflection is facing the viewer, yet blurred, while the clear and sharp bird is looking away.

ETA: I see now that it was another bird... I had interpreted it as a reflection, but either way, the repetition works very well.

I just liked this as soon as I saw it. The curved line of birds leading into the (seeming) spiral is simply great. Nice composition, a welcome change from traditional bird shots, and an example of seizing the moment. Well done.
