Moltenby Yo_SpiffComment: Hm... I think this is really a cool shot. I didn't vote, but would've probably given this a 7. I'm particularly fond of the way the shapes seem to be made out of some fluid... the way the tones are rendered really aids in that. Not quite enough for a favorite from me, but much appreciated. You chose well to shoot this shot with a camera phone; I've a feeling that the lack of super crisp detail and color rendering helped this one turn out the way it did. |

The Floating Ladyby ivkiComment: While this is an interesting effect in any case, I certainly wouldn't have guessed that it was taken during a performance, assuming instead that it was a setup. In that case, very effective use of metering- it adds greatly to the moody feel of her pose. |

Mystiqueby zeuszenComment: This is gorgeous. The birds, though subdued, add a great deal to the character of the scene. Thoroughly appreciated. |

leading westby FourPointXComment: I like your composition with the waterway, but the fence just seems odd and out of place, incidental. It's hanging there, not doing anything, which hurts the strength of the waterway. This is sorta magnified a bit by the nature of the fence- it's angular, and hard edged, while the rest of the scene is more organic, with curves and softness.
An interesting aspect of this photo is that the sky, though much larger, doesn't really steal the show... it feels about equal in strength to the foliage/waterway. |

Dewby colorcarnivalComment: Wow... the creamy bokeh alongside those crazy circles of confusion is wonderful. A very simple scene, and a well established DPC cliche with the drops, but done in a different and refreshing fashion. Exudes warm summer nights for me. |

Invitingby tomeComment: Hmm... I think this got voted a bit lower than it deserved, Tome. It's a very nice floral shot. While it doesn't have the POW! effect of many that do well on here, it is the subdued nature itself that makes this appealing. The (overall) muted colors and nice use of DoF combine nicely. |

The Sun Sets in 1000 windowsby mariucaComment: Wow... I hadn't looked through the entries... this is an awesome shot. Normally I blather on for awhile about something other other, but I don't really have anything to say but that I really like this. |

kissed by the sunsetby Eagle40Fox2Comment: Very nice, Kris. The lighting on her face is very appealing, with the golden light on her hair and shadowed eyes, but still keeping excellent detail. The dark space behind her head also helps this effect immensely.
Only thing, for me, is the flowers right front- they do seem a bit obtrusive. Very nice, in any case though. |
