May 10 - Time to weedby hajekaComment: I don't think the softness is entirely bad- I like that you have pretty sharp leaves along with some softness. The awesome drop off in clarity from shooting so close is pretty cool. How far from the subject were you? |

Angleby markwileyComment: Interesting street photo. The shadows and the design on the wall make this an enjoyable photo. Without them I think it might be matter of fact and not terribly interesting, but they exemplify your composition well and combine very nicely. |

Day 5 - The Lazy Flyby mrchhasComment: This has a cool lo-fi feel to it that I really like. Normally I'd comment on wanting more DoF and all that, but I like this as is. It's always a struggle to get DoF in low light environments, it's one of the reasons I really started getting into lighting initially.
I also like the drab colors. Perhaps a bit closer to 1:1 if possible, but then you'd also have more blur. |

Ti leafby CuttoothComment: Out of curiosity, are you using extension tubes on these at all? I didn't know the 50 1.4 focused so close.
In any case, the light on this blade is really cool. I like how much variety in color there is, everything from black and deep green to very bright green. The water adds a nice texture to it all. |

Morning Jogger on the Bridgeby markwileyComment: This is exactly the sort of thing I wanted for us all to get out of the challenge- seeing a scene, having whatever lens it is that we have with/on us, and making something possible of a fleeting moment because we are acquainted with our system.
Excellent. |

Street Challengeby novaComment: I climb so this is a standard training technique I'm well aware of.
But, on this, I venture to guess that her expression would have made for a great shot, as well, though you wouldn't want to pester her and I understand being timid about street shots (I'm the same way). |

Bearinger Buildingby bmartuchComment: Fire proof but not recession proof, evidently.
I might have tried stepping up a bit closer and getting closer to the ground, but this still works very well. Do you have any intention of shooting cars (particularly classic ones) during this SC? I could see that working well... |

UAby tomeComment: Nice take on an oft-visited subject matter. I like all the different colors of the windows, but also the reflection and the irregular windows sprinkled in, as well. |

witheredby ShutterPugComment: A bud going to seed? Is this fully 1:1? I'd consider having it fill the frame more. |
