Don't forget Tome, not all expert entries need expert editing :) Don't let that discourage you from interesting entries.

I'm personally fine with the way the lens has rendered the closer player, but I would really have like to have been shown the ball. The action of the game is somewhat ambiguous here, and while I know the sport, the focus should be the action, what's transpiring.

This is an interesting shot, but I have a feeling the constraints of this SC have heavily impacted the final product here. I think a lens that focuses closer and has a bit wider field of view would have strengthened this, as it seems a bit cluttered as is.

No worries on the commenting :)
I'd like to see the stairs/rails playing more of a primary role in this. As it is, they're present but somewhat subjugated. By getting closer the stairs as an element would be greatly strengthened, and since the background isn't necessarily appealing, I think the shot would benefit from this.

Well, to add to the dissension, I like the dark on the left, but think the eyes are a bit overworked. I also agree that BW might work great with this, since the tones seem like they would fade really nicely. It's an interesting crop since chins usually help to define our sense of how somebody looks, but I think it works well here.

Great processing, but to drive home your point, show more of the store. As viewers, we can't see the whole store and it seems inconsequential. If you show more of it, the message is strengthened. This may, of course, be limited by your focal length, but that's why this SC is fun :)

This is a very different photo from the other, but I like it much much more. The skeleton adds much to interest, and the color of the panes just adds to that. The clouds with the construction... great job. (echoing Joe)
Agree with cosmicassassin that you should have entered this into straight. Would've gotten top marks from me if I had voted.

Honestly, and having seen your other food shots, this looks pretty good. The DoF works well here, accenting the chocolate flakes. Very stock-photo-esque.

The vignette and vintage processing compliment the blur nicely. The frustrations of no cropping will make you better though, I swear! I've been shooting nearly straight from camera recently and the same is definitely true with any lit shots and my output has improved IMO. Again, a discussion of shutter speed/supplementary light, so don't forget that you can do some things with your pop up flash as well. Try carrying a small piece of white paper and using it as a reflector directly in front of your pop up so you can angle off of walls/ceilings. It looks silly but works decently, but you will have to set your flash power manually. Test pop at 1/1 and then adjust accordingly.
