I like the soothing colors of this. The blue isn't nearly as intense as a lot of other entries, and is a lot easier on the eyes. I also really like how the definition gradually transitions from sharp to blur.

I'm personally not a fan of the lighting. It feels like either a full harsh side lighting or a soft all around lighting needs to be chosen, and the two struggle against each other slightly.

That is by far the coolest pigeon I've ever seen. Definition and color are fantastic. Beak slightly out of focus, however I think that is a minor complaint here.

Ha, this makes me think of a dialogue sequence from Fight Club. Anyway- Nice colors. Focus is pretty good too- I know these flowers can be somewhat difficult to get into focus due to their depth.

I have no idea how it happened, but the focus on this shot is very strange in regards to what is and isn't in focus- What I mean is that not all the things I would assume would be in focus together are. Aspects of this photo that are seemingly equidistant from the focal plane look to be at different levels of focus, almost as if certain aspects were selectively blurred. Maybe it's just the world's shallowest DoF. You aren't, by any chance, that fellow with the D700 focus problems?
Other than that, I really like this.
