Nov 27 - Beerby hajekaComment: As a bit of a beer connossieur, it's interesting to see this one. I don't think I've ever seen Tarwebok for sale over here in the states. I've had the Heineken Dark, but that's even not all that available here. Nice shot to compliment the dark color. I just had one of these the other day, very good American effort at a Belgian style. Ommegang Abbey
Did you use a ringlight to light this? |

Pit Stopby MelonMusketeerComment: Oh man, I bet one of these events is AWESOME to participate in from a photography perspective. I really really wish I was more grown up and knew what I do now back when I used to attend some vintage car races up in Steamboat, CO. Each year my dad and I would get pit passes and hang out for the whole weekend immersed in awesome classic cars battling it out on a street course. As a part of the team, I can only imagine how much more access you would have had. |

Michael F. Morrowby jomariComment: Very nicely framed reflection. The warm light contrasts great with the blue sky and building. One thing I see, though, is that there appears to be a bunch of chromatic aberration on those pillars. But hey, it's a P&S, right? ;) |

Nov 24 - Shrimpby hajekaComment: I like the blown white area of this. Gives it a really "stockish" feel like something I'd see in a cooking magazine.
Also, I'm now craving shrimp... |

Why???by jomariComment: Ha- no, it's not just you...
Before I even looked at the title I was thinking the same thing. I don't even understand it... did she catch and wrestle the fish while scuba diving? I'd like to think I wouldn't look so nonplussed if I did the same. |

the Monadic Disjunctby myceliumComment: I'm curious as to if you were aware of this image before shooting
It's always interesting to me to see how we, as photographers, solve problems in the same fashion and inadvertently replicate each other, and how we each do things differently. I didn't vote (since I entered), but immediately thought of that photo.
What is it that didn't turn out to your expectations about the shot? |

Taken by the Seaby APComment: I think I like your entry more than the other version. It's got more punch in the memorial itself, and I like the reflection on the water. The composition also focuses more on the memorial itself, whereas in the alternate, it's secondary to the landscape. |

Let goby wiesenerComment: I wanted to come back and look at this to see the details (my curiosity got the best of me). For me, the fact that it's another artist's piece detracts slightly, but not for the most part. To me, I think you have created your own depiction, your own interpretation. I think I like the bw more than color, as well. The red would strike me as too vibrant, lively, for the message. The weight would be lessened in my eye. Good job, and bummer it didn't score higher. |

One Laneby JuliBocComment: This is an interesting bit of a sign. I particularly like what appears to be blue. I know it's just caused by the reflection on black, but it's cool looking. |

...by beneeComment: This is really cool. The near calm water is sorta spooky, and the featureless sky adds to that. Sweet photo. |
