Magnoliaby DennisFComment: I love that you kept this in black and white and the lighting is fabulous. I don't know if you intended a soft focus for artisitic sake, but in this case, a shaper image might have worked better. Particdularly at the bottom of the shot, it seems a little too out of focus, detracting from an otherwise perfect shot. |

Tarnished Poseby A WeaverComment: This is a great "in the garden" shot. I wish the lighting were just a little better on her face so that we can see more of the details of her expression since she is your focal point. However, the water in the front and the flowers in the back are great. One of the best shots I've seen yet this challenge. |

Holding On.... by buzzrockComment: So far, this is my favorite. I love the metalic look of the grasshopper and the complimentary color of the leaves behind him. The white backdrop really makes it all stand out. Good luck. |

Rock Garden Sunsetby jerrftComment: this is pretty neat. I like the red of the background contrasting the yellow of the rocks. I also like the variety of textures you've captured on the different stones. |

Rows of Cornby SonifoComment: Catching the sun so low on the horizon makes this shot. the clouds look like they are painted on the sky. Very nice. |

Through the Gateby goodtempoComment: I like the idea of the scarecrow being your focal point but I think there might be somethign you could have done to make the photo a bit more artistic. It has too much feel of being a snapshot with no real pizzazz. |

For the Birdsby Woody102Comment: I like your title. The plants in the front are a nice bright contrast to the darker vegetation in the back as is the white of the feeder. I think maybe cropping the feeder more to the right might give the photo a more artistic feel. |

Attitudeby justineComment: One of the best cat shots I've seen. Nicely cropped and focused. He (she?) is a beautiful subject well captured. |

Never Forgetsby crabappl3Comment: One of my favorites of the challenge. I like that you were able to capture the tree in such a way that it gives the illusion of being something else. From the "eye" to the "tusk", I can see the elephant in there in the same way one might look at a cloud formation and see an angel or something else. The textures of the bark are interesting, making me want to linger on the photo for a closer examination. It also fits the challenge very well (as I interpret it). If I could vote, you'd have a 10 from me. |
