War Reenactment = Photographers Treasureby ty-wilkinsonComment: Great photo. I think it's a stretch on this particular challenge. If it were somewhere else, I would definitely give it a higher score. I love the composition and this particular shot has so much action to it. Sorry to give you a 6. Great shot, wrong challenge. |

Peeking out from it's hiding spotby FourPointXComment: Aren't moments like this glorious? At first I wasn't sure I liked the composition, but I've decided I like the symmetry left to right. I might have tried to crop out the trees, though. I don't think they add anything. Also, some color adjustments might have made this 'pop' a bit more. 6 |

Under the Seaby ChadHComment: I'm sure this was a challenge to catch. I've tried some aquarium photography and almost always been disappointed, usually because of the high ISO noise on my Rebel XTI. I think it's a nice capture, but my eye is immediately drawn to his back because there's not enough light on his face. Not that you can do anything about the lighting, but if you had caught him looking up, I think I would have preferred it. Also, I find the tie to this challenge tenuous at best. Keep up the good work, though. I'm very impressed with the sharpness. 6 |

Nest Eggby scalvertComment: The sharpness of this is very good. You were definitely shooting for this challenge in particular. :-) I just wish it were a little bit brighter in the nest. I'm sure that was impossible with the natural light at the time you took this, but I think it would have balanced the photo better. I think a slightly wider crop would have been interesting as well. 6 |

Rosebuds filled with promise...by tinkie2010Comment: I like the composition and the subject. It works well having both the blooming rose and the bud. I wish there were a bit more contrast between the rose and the background. It all seems a bit "orangy" (sorry, I know it's not a word) to me. Maybe a cooler color temperature would have helped (although I know you may have been going for the warmness) I had this as a 5, but after looking at it in depth, I'm moving it to a 6. If it fit the challenge a bit better, I probably would have given it a higher score. |

Forgottenby SteefComment: I'm not sure why I'm not rating this higher. I like the composition, the lighting is great, and the colors are beautiful. There's something that i can't quite put my finger on that's nagging me about this picture. Is it the focus? I can't put my finger on it. I still like the photo. 6 |

Nutby Ken-WComment: An interesting choice. Placing it on the map really enhanced the photo even though the two aren't really tied together. Off topic, but that really looks like a piranha plant from Super Mario to me. 7 |

Siberian Libertyby BeefnCheezComment: I'm not really sure exactly what I'm looking at. I like it, but I wonder if it's too tight a crop. Frankly, I'm not sure if it is or not. With the image dimension requirements, you might have completely lost the subject. I still like the photo. 7 |
