Blironingby TimosabyComment: I like the right hand side with arms and the fruit. The left hand side is kind of weak with washed (pun unintended) colors. Perhaps a square crop of the left hand side would ahve more impact. |

Sew me..by chestomComment: Very nice, with good use of DOF and interesting lines in the composition. The blue border is not too my liking as it is distracting. |

Fish Blendby Tlee05Comment: Lighting is both interesting and bit distracting. Might have a few too many objects. |

A couple of drops in the right placesby Yo_SpiffComment: What are you lighting this puppy with, as f11 or f16 would have given just enough DOF to help the focus problems. Also what zoom were you on? If you have used the 50mm 1.8 it would sharper than the 28-300 mm and perhps helped the DOF depending on the zoom you used. Those quibbles aside, I really like the composition here. Did you try any shots with the black wire pulled out of view to see if it helped/hurt the composition. |

Hattiesburg train stationby cowboy221977Comment: The centered composition makes it kind of static, try looking for other angles. The red brick roof is kind of interesting, perhaps using more of the roof would add interest. Also you should watch your horizon, which while not visable here, but seems to be off as the tower seems to be leaning left.
The border is really wide and takes my eye away from the photo. The best borders are so complimentaty to the photo that you do not notice them.
Here is my tower, while we are all comparing them (it has its own problems).

Swamp Cedarby TeafranComment: All those nice comments you write and you only get two. Definately not fair.
Love the tree with all the details, really a photo that you can look at for a while. I think the composition either needs to pull back a little and get the tree on the thirds or crop in more and have the tree fill the frame. |

The crack of dawn by Yo_SpiffComment: Way to go! What a perfect tree with such surreal colors. Sorry to see you leave the minor leagues and step up to play with the big boys. Your always welcome to come back and visit us ordinary non-ribbon folk. We will keep the beer cold and the pizza hot for you :) Big congratulations, very well deserved. |
