You lucky person! Your seat at the dohyou must have been great. As for the photo itself, you've caught the action well, but I'd have prefered a much narrower depth of field to blur the background audience.

The blue hues are appropriate for the old-time feel of this microphone, and the off-centred composition stops it from being boring. However, the blue ironically leaves me a bit cold.

I get the feeling that this photo is a little too staged for my tastes. The implied line and deliberateness of the clock directly above the head and having its big hand point directly upwards mirrors the line in the lamp, and this is good, but I'm not attracted to the overall feel of this photo.

There's a strong sense of line from top left along the arm to the middle right. And that's exactly where the bright areas are. So, in terms of composition, this works very well. However, the subject is a bit bland and impersonal. A bit more drama would help here.

The skin textures on the hand are very powerful. The duotoning was a good choice to emphasise the age of the subject. I also like the pose. What surprises me is that I like the negative space on the right. Its emptiness really supports the meaning here.

Your recent forum posting of this photo let me know of this. Anyway, what a wonderful idea and recreation of that idea! Top class for this genre.

Sorry, Im not funny. lol

This made me laugh. However, adding a period might help, too. (The last sentence might be read in various ways, too.)

Well hung in the laundry room, lucky me. No one came while shooting.

Chinese chopsticks and Japanese food? I love wasabi (in moderation), but unfortunately, it doesn't look very appetising here. Sorry.
